2025-2026 Volunteers of the Month:

LeeAnn Latimer

Congratulations,

meet August’s Volunteer of the Month, LeeAnn!

⭐What are your child(rens) names/ages?
I have a 13-year-old daughter, Madison, who goes to McKamy, and my son Grady is in 5th grade at OSE.

⭐What activities do you enjoy doing with your family?
We’re a sports-loving family! You’ll usually find us in the gym cheering on the kids at their club basketball games or getting into some kind of fun, competitive activity ourselves. But we also love to slow things down and relax with a good movie on the couch—usually with our dog, Gus, snuggled up next to us.

⭐In which areas do you volunteer at OSE?
Over the summer, I helped with the ‘Game On’ theme decorations, which was a lot of fun. I’ve also served on the PTA Board—two years as President and three years as Treasurer. I truly enjoyed my time on the board and value all the friendships I’ve made along the way. OSE has become more like family than just a school. These days, I jump in and help out as needed and do volunteer work when it fits into my schedule.

⭐What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
I loved serving the students, teachers, and community—helping make OSE a place where fun and connection happened. It was so rewarding to see the community come together and to be part of a team that brought events and activities to life. One of my favorite things was being at the school in the mornings, seeing all the happy faces as the kids walked in. It truly made it all worth it.

⭐What would you say to someone on the fence about volunteering at OSE?
There are so many ways to get involved—sometimes it just takes stepping outside your comfort zone. Volunteer, dive in, and give yourself the chance to make new friends and be part of something meaningful. Our time is one of the most valuable gifts we can offer, and using it to serve others is always worth the return investment.

Thanks for all you do for OSE, LeeAnn!
