Congratulations,

Meet Our Volunteer of the Month,
Melinda Baxter!

What are your child(ren)’s names/ages?
Grace (7, 2nd grade) and Lily (6, Kindergarten).
What activities do you enjoy doing with your family?
We love swimming, exercising, volunteering, spending time with friends, and cozy movie nights at home. We’re pretty laid back and just enjoy being together and staying active.
In which areas do you volunteer at OSE?
I volunteer with Wonder Wagon, chaperone field trips, work in the copy room weekly, and serve as a room rep.
What do you enjoy most about volunteering?
The hugs from my girls and their friends never get old. I also love helping students and our hard-working teachers see familiar, friendly faces so they feel supported, safe, and part of a bigger OSE family.
What would you say to someone on the fence about volunteering for OSE?
Start small. Our teachers work incredibly hard, and every little bit of help makes a difference. Supporting them ultimately supports our most precious gifts — our kids.
